What’s the deductible and who pays it?

The deductible is the amount you, the insured, is liable for before the insurance company will make payment on your claim.  Simply stated:  it’s the portion of the bill you are responsible for paying.  If you have additional questions about this, contact your Insurance Agent or Claims Rep.

Who do I pay my deductible to?

You pay your deductible directly to us, usually when you pick up your vehicle after its fixed.

What forms of payment does Marty Cancila Collision Center accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, check, money order, cashier check, and cash.

How do I get a claim number?

Claim numbers are issued by your insurance company at the time you report your accident. Just jot it down and bring it in with you when you come in to begin the repair process, we will do the rest.

Is there a warranty on the repairs made to my vehicle?

Yes, at Marty Cancila Collision Center, we take pride in our work and customer satisfaction is a priority.  All of our repairs also have a Limited Lifetime Warranty on Paint and Workmanship.

When will the parts be ordered that are needed for my vehicle repair?

We generally order the parts for a  job when we schedule a vehicle for drop off.  This allows us to be prepared when the vehicle arrives and helps us get it back to you sooner.  Facilitating a quick turnaround time is important to us.

How long will the repairs take?

Every repair job is different!  When given an estimate, you’ll be given a general  idea of how long it may take to complete the repairs.  Understand, though, that there are many variables when repairing a vehicle that’s been involved in an accident.  It’s important to us that your vehicle is repaired completely and accurately, therefore our Team of professionals will work diligently to ensure this happens.  We will keep you informed every step of the way.

Can I get a ride home when I drop off my car?

Yes, we provide complimentary local drop off and pick up if you need a ride to work or back home, when your vehicle is being repaired at Marty Cancila Collision Center.   We want each customer to have a positive experience when they visit our Shop and we work diligently toward that goal.

How can I get a rental car?

If you want a rental car, we can help you make the necessary arrangements.  Insurance companies will only pay for a rental car if you have “rental coverage” as part of your policy, or sometimes, if you are the claimant (the accident wasn’t your fault).  You may choose to rent a car on your own too.   Marty Cancila Collision Center rents vehicles, and also works with other Rental Car companies to make sure all our customers’ needs are met.  Arrangements will be made so you can still drop off and pick up your vehicle here, and have transportation to get and return your rental car.

Can I get other work done on my vehicle when it’s at the Collision Center?

Yes, because you’ve brought your vehicle to Marty Cancila Collision Center, which is part of a Dealership, we can arrange for service work to be done on your vehicle by our experienced, knowledgeable Service Technicians.   Please just let us know what work you’d like performed on your vehicle when you drop it off, so we can give you a price and make a note on your file

How will I know when my vehicle is ready to be picked up?

At Marty Cancila Collision Center, we keep you informed about your vehicle’s progress and will contact you when it’s ready to be picked up.  You can also call us, email your advisor, or check this website if you have questions about what stage of the repair it’s at.

After my vehicle’s fixed, how soon can I wash it?

It’s fine to wash it right away but follow these guidelines.  RECOMMENDATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR THE FIRST 30 DAYS:   Wash by hand with cool water and a very mild car wash solution using a soft cloth or sponge.  Always use clean fresh water, and wash your vehicle in the shade.

What are “betterment” charges, and why do I have to pay them?

Parts that wear out and need replacement with time and use (i.e.:  tires, batteries, & suspension parts) are commonly subject to betterment charges when a vehicle’s repaired.  These charges are determined by your insurance company and are pro-rated based on actual miles on your vehicle.  Since “betterment” is based on usage and the vehicle is being repaired or getting a new part, the customer is responsible for paying the portion (usually a percentage) that’s already been used.  If you have additional questions about this, contact your Insurance Agent or Claims Rep.

Can my paint color be matched?

Today's modern factory finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paints. We’ve made a major investment in the one of the finest paint systems available and  upgrade our  technology and equipment to ensure that each vehicle's paint matches. Our experienced painters take pride in their ability to match factory finishes as the final step in the repair process!  Restoring your vehicle to its pre-accident condition is one of our primary goals at Marty Cancila Collision Center.
